How it went down - What I think
Opening -
I think that they got the opening down pat. They practiced it so many times I think they've got this one.
About the business -
They probably did well.
External Environment -
I think that they got what they needed said and left out anything that didn't.
Marketing Plan -
Target market -
I'm going to go ahead and say that they might have trouble on this one. Just because it's hard to define a target market in such a diverse area.
Marketing Mix -
This will be tough since it was hard enough for them to describe the packaging system that the buffet uses. (I myself still don't understand it.) I hope that they can clearly explain how the customer will be buying our products and how much it will cost.
Discussion of business risks -
I think that they will get this one because they spent a lot of time thinking about how the company needs to combat other companies who also do similar things and what odds are stacked against us in the long run.
Quality of slideshow -
I think they got bombed on this one. Personally looking at the slide, it didn't look too impressive. There were some grammar mistakes and the pictures laid out were implemented in a way that it looks like a high school presentation and not one that looks professional and business-like. I feel that they should have given the slide to me so that I could touch it up and make it look a little bit better. Also, I feel that the information placed onto the slides could be shortened, better phrased, and also bulleted so that it looked better. However, they did use the graphs and what not effectively so I believe that they will do well with that.
Quality of Oral Delivery -
While they were practicing, I noticed that their voices were indeed clear and engaging, but they were not persuasive to a point were I felt that they were trying to get me to buy their product. They did give good reasons as to why they are better than competitors, but their voices didn't sound too convincing. I hope they fix that in the actual presentation.
Q&A -
Really this depends on the questions that they would be asked at the actual event. Some questions that were asked in practice were hard for them to answer, so I hope they thought of a lot more questions that might be asked so that they could answer it effectively and clearly without any awkwardness. To add to that, I hope that their voices were clear and assertive not questionable and doubtful.
Feasibility -
I believe that the judges will invest in our company based on what our team has told them. I have confidence that they were talented enough to persuade them to invest into our company.
